Hmmmmm....gonna try something a friend suggested. I have been told if I do this in the morning before leaving for work I will feel better. Seems nuts....OK here goes!
Attention Coupon Clippers!

Well, Im not going into the long story of how it happend but today I accidentally wound up in some ones living room with 12 women clipping coupons...for 2 hours. Now let me start by saying there were 3 professional coupon clippers (CCs) present. I never seen anything like it. They were pulling these long grocery receipts from their backpacks some totaling close to $300! Now Im all for saving a dollar but on the bottom of these receipts the actual amounts paid were less than $30! It was jaw dropping! You want a better one? Some of the receipts had an overage (overage= more for coupons than the groceries cost) which you get applied somehow to your next purchase or something like that anyway. It was explained in great detail how they never pay for anything like noodles, spaghetti, toothpaste, deoderant and God forbid the store give a 2 for 1 special and offer a coupon for those items the same week. I think I heard every angle that could possibly be used including great picture taking and texting plan to alert everyone of potential deals while actually out shopping. The great story behind all this was the three ladies were teaching others going through some tough times how to do the same thing. Latonya, Carmen and Mary ( the coupon cartel) made notebooks for everyone including me and no, they didnt know I was going to be there. They made special baskets with various items for prizes and gifts. I didnt know these ladies 1 minute before I walked in the front door! I marveled at the passion in that room today. The willingness to share. To help others. To make a difference. Did I mention they fed everyone too? Im still smiling!
